Genoveffa Darone and Insigne got married in December 2012.
Carmine, their first child, was born four months after Christian, who was born in March 2015.
Insigne made 434 appearances for Napoli’s first team, scoring 122 goals and taking home two Coppa Italias in the process.
The winner of Euro 2020 signed a four-year free contract with Toronto to join this summer and become the highest-paid player in the Major League Soccer.
In 12 games, he has so far tallied six goals and added two assists.
Insigne said at the tearful press conference: “When I arrived I knew it would be a difficult transition, but next year we will start together and we will be united.”
“We will stay united, it will be a great season and we know we will win a lot next year.”
