The Premier League has unveiled the nominees for September Manager of the Month, with Conte, O’Neil, and Erik ten Hag shortlisted as among the best managers for the month.
Due to circumstances surrounding the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, there was less top-flight football this month, with each manager only in control of two games.
The aforementioned managers gained recognition, though, as Tottenham, Bournemouth, and Manchester United all had successful moments in September.
Spurs under Conte led the Premier League in total goals scored in September with eight, six of which came in the most recent rout of Leicester.
O’Neil has done wonders for a Bournemouth team that fired coach Scott Parker less than a month ago after they lost 9-0 to Liverpool. The former West Ham midfielder oversaw a 1-1 draw at Newcastle and a 3-2 victory against Nottingham Forest after they had trailed 2-0.
After a rocky beginning, Ten Hag has also presided over some notable improvements at United in recent weeks. Prior to ending Arsenal’s undefeated start to the season with a 3-1 victory at Old Trafford, Leicester was defeated.
Mikel Arteta, who led the Gunners to five victories in their first five games while also tallying 13 goals, was given the honor for August.
The nominees for the Premier League Player of the Month award are chosen from a little larger pool of candidates than the MOTM shortlist, which is quite condensed.
Among the six players, Kevin De Bruyne is the front-runner because he assisted on three of Manchester City’s four goals in September.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is nominated for a goal and an assist, while Marcus Rashford is selected for being involved in a league-high four goals.
The remaining players on the shortlist are Philip Billing of Bournemouth, Alex Iwobi of Everton, and Jacob Ramsey of Aston Villa.

After a sluggish start to the season, the Dutchman helped Manchester United turn things around by defeating Leicester City and breaking Arsenal’s unbeaten run to move his team up to fifth.
