Roma football legend, Francesco Totti has made a stunning revelation on how his wife’s unfaithfulness affected his football career.
The 45-year-old Roma football legend, Totti got married to Ilary Blasi, who was a former showgirl and TV presenter, in 2005. The duo was happily married and they had three children together.
Nevertheless, they announced that they had separated in July 2022, and Francesco Totti has now uncovered the reasons behind their divorce.

Francesco Totti, born 27th of September 1976, is an Italian former professional footballer who spent his entire football career at Roma and the Italian national team.
The former Rome captain Totti is often referred to as the golden boy; the eighth king of Rome; the big baby; and popularly referred to as the Captain by the Italian sports media.
The Roman football legend is a creative offensive footballer who could play as an attacking midfielder and as a forward (second striker, lone striker, or winger).
Renowned for his vision, skill, wit, and goalscoring proficiency, Totti is evaluated to be one of the greatest Italian players of all time, one of the best players of his time, and Roma’s greatest player ever.
Francesco Totti spent most of his entire career at Roma, winning a Serie A title, two Coppa Italia titles, and two Supercoppa Italiana titles for the club.
The 45-year-old is the second-highest goalscorer of all time in the history of the Italian league with 250 goals, and he is the sixth-highest Italian goalscorer in all competitions with 316 goals.
In November 2014, Totti extended his goal record as the oldest goalscorer in UEFA Champions League history, while he was 38-year-old.
Totti made his final appearance for Roma in a 3–2 home win against Genoa on the 28th of May, 2017, at the age of 40.

Reason Behind Totti and Ilary Blasi’s Divorce
Roma legend Francesco Totti has alleged that his marriage to his ex-wife Ilary Blasi halted because she did not support him following his retirement from football and also when his father died due to Covid-19, Blasi was not there to comfort him.
The 45-year-old legend, after his retirement from football in 2017 has revealed how he managed to cope after he stopped playing football, before his father, Enzo Totti, passed away in October 2020, due to Covid-19.
Totti said the painful thing was that during those challenging times, his wife was not there to comfort him.
Totti told Corriere Della Sera, a news agency that: ”I have lived through a difficult period, first because I stopped playing and then my father died due to Covid.
”I also had a strong Covid (illness) for 15 days. However, my wife, when I needed her most, was not there.”
However, it’s assumed that Totti might have cheated on Blasi following their break-up, as the football legend now has a new partner, Noemi Bocchi.
Meanwhile, Totti in his revelation stated that he found out last year that his wife had been unfaithful and cheating on him.
He said: “It is not true that I was the first to betray. I said I was not going to speak and I did not, but I have read too many hoaxes in recent weeks. Some have even made my children suffer.
”In September of last year the rumors began to reach me: look, Ilary has another one. Indeed, more than one.
“I had never done it in twenty years, nor had she ever done it with me. But when I received warnings from different people, whom I trust, I began to suspect.
”I looked at her cell phone and I saw that there was a third person, who acted as an intermediary between Ilary and another.”
Francesco Totti has admitted that the disclosure of his wife’s infidelity made him depressed and badly affected his mental health, and he thanked his new partner, Noemi Bocchi for supporting him through the difficult period of his life.
Totti said: ”Here was the evidence (of the infidelity). The facts. And that led me to depression. I could no longer pretend that nothing was happening, but it wasn’t me anymore, it was someone else. I got out thanks to Noemi.”
The 45-year-old Totti revealed he would have loved to talk about other things that interest him, however, Totti and his ex-wife now look forward to settling their disputes in court, but Totti said it will not get to the point of reunion.
He said: “I fear that with Ilary it will end up in court. I still hope that we can reach an agreement.
“Now I am silent. This afternoon, it cost me six months of life. I would have preferred a thousand times to talk about football and Roma, which I always carry in my heart”.
However, Totti’s ex-wife, Blasi is yet to make any comment on what Totti claimed but her lawyer, Alessandro Simeone stated on her behalf: “I have always protected my children and I will continue to protect them.”
Moreover, Ilary Blasi is alleged to have told her friends that she discovered things that could ruin about fifty families, indicating that she has a lot to say concerning the allegations leveled against her.
There have been speculations that the pair could go to court to resolve their differences, as more information as regards the issue will be unfolded.
