As his career as a football nomad continues, the 32-year-old has agreed to a two-year contract with new employers.

His final performance in Turkey ended in a fight with Vincenzo Montella, the manager of Demirspor; the former frontman for Manchester City, Liverpool, and Inter is now getting ready to make a new impression.

Balotelli scored 19 goals in the 2021–22 season after being re-signed by the Italian national team, but the colorful figure struggled to establish roots and continues to garner worse than the favorable press.

Barthelemy Constantin, the club’s sporting director, announced on the club’s official website that they had signed a talented dynamic player: “Mario Balotelli will bring us a lot offensively since he comes out of a full season and arrives with us with confidence. He is the kind of striker we needed, with great determination. It is an honor to have him with us.”

Balotelli is looking for a long-term home after signing with Nice, Marseille, Brescia, Monza, and Demirspor in 2018. He has also been on the books of Nice since 2018.

Mario Balotelli

Barwuah, Mario Balotelli (born August 12, 1990) is an Italian-born professional football player who competes for Swiss Super League team Sion as a striker.

Before joining Inter Milan in 2007, Balotelli began his professional football career in 2005 with Lumezzane. In 2010, he won the 2010 Triple Crown (Serie A, Coppa Italia, and Champions League).

In 2010, Balotelli rejoined Roberto Mancini, the manager of Inter, at Manchester City, where he helped the team win the Premier League and the FA Cup. He returned to Italy in January 2013 and signed with AC Milan before joining Liverpool in the Premier League again 18 months later.

Balotelli left for France and played in Ligue 1 for Nice and Marseille after being loaned back to Milan. He made a third trip back to Italy, signing with Serie A team Brescia in the summer of 2019 and Serie B club Monza in the late part of 2020. Balotelli joined Turkish club Adana Demirspor the following summer.

In 2010, Balotelli played against the Ivory Coast in a friendly match that gave him his first Italy cap. He played for his nation at the UEFA Euro 2012, the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup, and the 2014 FIFA World Cup, earning almost 30 caps overall.

He earned bronze in the Confederations Cup and scored twice against Germany in the semi-final to assist his country’s team to reach Euro 2012 final.

What did Balotelli do in Turkey?

After Last Saturday’s Turkish Super Lig match, Mario Balotelli enraged Vincenzo Montella, the manager of Adana Demirspor, as the two almost collided on the field.

The striker appeared to make a comment to Montella after the game, which appeared to irritate the coach to the point where he needed to be restrained from the striker, following a 1-0 Turkish Super Lig victory against Umraniye.

Montella spun around and attempted to leap towards the 32-year-old after Balotelli, who isn’t hesitant to speak his opinion and stir up controversy, made the statement. The two were only kept apart by a last-ditch intervention by pitch crew.

Balotelli has had disagreements with his managers previously; during a notorious incident with his former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini during a training session, the two got into a fight before the striker was taken off the field.

For his bizarre behavior off the field, such as throwing out cash in the middle of Manchester and accidentally setting his bathroom on fire, Balotelli has repeatedly made headlines.

The striker made a successful comeback to Turkey after leaving Italian team Monza, scoring 19 goals last season. Only his 26 goals for Nice in 2017–18 were higher than Balotelli’s tally of goals in a season.
