The first half began with Leicester City looking flat and dull as Manchester United dominated the game with a series of chances. Despite picking a weakness and glaring lapses in their opponents’ defense, Manchester United were unable to convert their chances.

A perfect buildup play from the back saw Man United caught their opponents on the counter. It was Rashford with the ball. He slid a pass to Jadon Sancho, who slotted home easily, bypassing the shambolic Leicester defense to give the Red Devils the lead.
Leicester showed no sign of a potential come-back as Man United continued mounting intense pressure and looking to double their lead. The Foxes had an edge in the midfield for some moments but were blunt and clueless on the attack.
The Red Devils were still leading by a goal to nil as the match edged on the first half’s final minutes. Brendan Rodgers was totally lost at the touchlines watching the team’s innumerable blunders up front. The first half finally ended with the Foxes trailing Manchester United 1-0.
The second half was no different as both teams filed into the pitch. The Foxes made some efforts to find an equalizer, but it could not count. Manchester United’s defense were on top of their game.
Meanwhile, Ten Hag’s squad looked more menacing and deadly than their hosts when processing their counterattack.
As the game progressed, Leicester was gradually coming into the game and beginning to dominate possession, making it a bit tougher for the Red Devils.
France international Varane was perfect in blocking and truncating the opponents’ set piece while the Red Devils waited for their opponents on the counter.
Erik Ten Hag substituted Jadon Sancho for Cristiano Ronaldo, who further threatened the Foxe’s defense but could not find the back of the net. The game drones on with both sides playing at ease with no intensity. Leicester found no way out of the United defense, while the Red Devils seemed complacent tending to defend their narrow lead.
