Chelsea dominated the match as they had 65% of the ball possession against Tottenham Hotspurs’ 35%. Despite that, the Blues had just 3 shots on target and were able to convert two of them while Tottenham had 5 and converted two.

Chelsea new signing Kalidou Koulibaly scored what will be considered to be the goal of the week after an awesome corner kick from new signing Marc Cucurrella found him free.

The London derby which ended in a dramatic draw was an intense fight between two heavyweight rivals. However, coach Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte succeeded in bringing more attention to themselves, by fighting on the sidelines.

The last part of their fight which happened at the end of the Premier League game forced referee Taylor to show the two coaches a red card.

The last part of the fight broke after the final whistle. Tuchel who was obviously angry that Harry Kane scored with a header in the 96th minute to give Tottenham a draw, dragged Conte’s hand as they tried to shake hands after the game. The gesture infuriated Conte forcing tempers to flair but that was put in check by the stadium stewards.

Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte faceoff: The Breakdown

The technical areas at Stamford Bridge are small, so Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte, the former Chelsea manager, were animated and intense the entire time as they cheered their sides on.

19 minutes into the game, Koulibaly, Chelsea’s large center back has been completely unmarked 15 yards away after a corner was floated over. No one could have predicted him to act in this manner, to be fair: he hit a beautiful, technically flawless volley that sails into the goal and gives Lloris no chance.

Spurs didn’t respond right away, and they appeared to be having a hot and challenging afternoon. Both Reece James and Loftus-Cheek played well, with a lot of running and a lot of movement.

Another Chelsea corner was taken in the 26th minute, and, would you believe it, Koulibaly was once more left unmarked in the area! He attempted a volley once more, which would have been even more impressive.

Tottenham equalized in the 68th minute after Chelsea had rightfully demanded a foul for a challenge on Havertz. The game continued. Tottenham attacked and scored.

On the benches, a real drama was unfolding. Both teams’ coaches, Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte were standing up and staring at one another.

Chelsea was displeased when Jorginho was fouled during the buildup. He lost it because he tried to accomplish too much inside the box. Hojbjerg received the ball from Spurs and fired a speculative shot that may have taken a slight deflection.

Even though Richarlison was offside when the ball was sent in, it would be difficult to claim that he obstructed the game. The goal is upheld in VAR.

Following that, Tuchel and Conte immediately confronted one another! Uncertain what was said or whether the Chelsea bench was offended by the celebration.

Chelsea made a brilliant play in the 78th minute to attack down the left and capture the attention of the Spurs defense.

James was on the overlap when Kante picked out Sterling. Reece enters the penalty area with great isolation before smacking the ball past an unguarded Lloris to restore the lead in the 77th minute.

Harry Kane scored a late goal for Tottenham to tie the score by heading home a brilliant inswinging corner from the right. Immediately after the game ended, Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte had a go at each other again and forced the referee to show them red.
