Two times UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea are still interested in the push to secure the services of Manchester City’s striker Raheem Sterling and Leeds United winger Raphinha even though the club is discussing with Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar Jr’s representatives for a move this summer.
Todd Boehly who’s the new Chelsea owner and also handling transfer issues is trying to rebuild the club executives and squad by signing some players. Chelsea have reportedly advanced in their chase for Raheem Sterling and the Englishman is set to leave City this summer.
Manchester City are set to release Raheem Sterling this summer but values him at around £50 million because he has just one year left in his contract.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel sees Raheem Sterling as a top player and the Englishman is eager to talk about moving back to London, where the majority of his family still resides.
Sterling is viewed as a very interesting alternative for Chelsea due to his Premier League playing experience (he has won the league four times with City).

Leeds United winger Raphinha is another top target for Chelsea, while Barcelona is still keen on acquiring the Brazilian international this summer. Raphinha was once a target of Arsenal until Chelsea snatched him up, but he is passionate about moving to the Nou Camp.
Despite rumors linking the Blues to a move for Ronaldo, Chelsea’s top priorities in the upcoming weeks are still Sterling and Raphinha.
Ronaldo has reportedly opted to leave Manchester United and Boehly have shown interest in signing him. The 37-year-old shocked United last week when he informed the team that he intends to quit if they receive a good offer for him this summer due to his dissatisfaction with how slowly the Red Devils are progressing.
Ronaldo might find Chelsea’s Champions League status enticing, but as things stand, Thomas Tuchel is primarily concerned with Sterling and Raphinha.
Neymar is another well-known athlete whose future is uncertain despite rumors that he has exercised an option to extend his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
Although transfers for Ronaldo and Neymar are not completely out of the question, Sterling seems like a more realistic goal in the near future.
Raheem Sterling’s departure will make him the second senior player to leave Man City this summer after Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus joined on Monday.
Sterling is expected to fill the position left by Romelu Lukaku who left Chelsea on a loan deal to Inter Milan.
