The recipient for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award is still undecided, however, there are different names that have been tipped for the individual crown.
In recent weeks, several football stars have also been involved in major international tournaments and this has resulted in the Ballon d’Or power rankings being reviewed.
The 2024 Ballon d’Or power rankings give an insight into potential winners of the award and those whose chances of winning or losing might have reduced following the end of some major international tournaments for this calendar year.

The award ceremony goes down on October 28, 2024, and it will be done at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.

Nico was also astonishing in Euro 2024, playing a crucial role as Spain went all the way to win the tournament defeating England in the final 2-1.
Nico Williams scored the opener for La Roja before Cole Palmer equalized for England in the second period.
Mikel Oryarzabal broke the hearts of English fans with a late goal in the 86th minute.
The attacker netted 2 goals and provided 1 assist in 6 appearances at the tournament. During the 2023/24 season, Nico scored 8 goals and provided 19 assists in 37 appearances across all competitions last term.
9) Phil Foden – Manchester City/England
Foden was crucial to Manchester City winning a record-historic 4th consecutive Premier League title.
Phil Foden also had a good outing with England at Euro 2024, although he didn’t deliver his usual breathtaking performances at the competition.
Anyway, he was a good team player, helping Gareth Southgate’s side reach the final, albeit losing once again when it mattered most to Spain 2-1.
The Englishman’s brilliance saw him being named as the Football Writers Player of the 2023/24 season.
He also won the Premier League’s Player of the 2023/24 campaign and the Manchester City Player of the Season.
Phil Foden scored 27 goals and provided 12 assists in 53 appearances for the Cityzens last term.
Note, that he didn’t pen his name on the score sheet at Euro 2024 despite starting all of England’s matches at the continental showpiece.

8) Harry Kane – Bayern Munich/England
The phenomenal footballer, who has suffered a near-success syndrome all through his career also makes it to the list of probable winners of the 2024 Ballon d’Or award.
Kane ended the German Bundesliga campaign as the top scorer with 36 goals and 8 assists in 32 appearances.
He contributed his quota to Bavarians in a torrid season, where they went trophyless for the first time since the 2011/12 campaign.
His trophyless career run has accompanied him from Tottenham Hotspur to German giants Bayern Munich and it is uncertain when he would get a taste of collective success.
Kane also captained England to another runners-up outing at Euro 2024 and certainly, he looked dampened after the full-time whistle as they failed to clinch the crown.
Anyway, Harry Kane scored a staggering 44 goals and provided 12 assists in 45 appearances for Bayern Munich across all competitions in the 2023/24 season.
7) Kylian Mbappe – Real Madrid (Paris Saint Germain)/France
The Frenchman had a brilliant season with his now-former club Paris Saint Germain last season, helping them win a domestic treble – Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and Trophée des Champions.
Despite his battles with the club over his departure, Kylian Mbappe still produced the goods in many matches for PSG.
Kylian Mbappe scored 44 goals and provided 10 assists in 48 appearances for the Parisians last term.
Mbappe had a Euro 2024 outing with France that he will want to forget in a hurry despite getting off the mark in their final group game against Poland on June 25, 2024.
Ultimately, France were eliminated in the semi-finals after losing 2-1 to Spain, where he provided the assist for Le Bleus solitary goal in the game netted by Kolo Muani.
6) Toni Kroos – Retired (Real Madrid/Germany 2023/24 season)
The German great retired from football after Germany’s exit from the 2024 European Championship in the quarter-finals, having revealed his decision to call time on his career in May 2024.
Kroos also had a glorious final season club-wise, winning the UEFA Champions League and La Liga with Real Madrid.
Toni Kroos’ successes has seen him push up highly on the list, having also scored 1 goal and provided 10 assists in 48 appearances across all competitions.

5) Lautaro Martinez – Inter Milan/Argentina
The Argentine led Inter Milan to the 2023/24 Serie A title, ending the league campaign as the top-scorer with 24 goals and 3 assists in 33 appearances.
Martinez was also pivotal to Argentina winning the 2024 Copa America title, finishing as the top-scorer with 5 goals in 6 matches despite starting just 2 games.
Lautaro Martinez scored the crucial goal in the final, as La Albiceleste secured back-to-back Copa America crowns.
4) Dani Carvajal – Real Madrid/England
Carvajal has had a successful year at club level and internationally, as he won the La Liga and UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid during the 2023/24 season.
Dani Carvajal was also amongst Spain’s contingent that won the 2024 European Championship defeating England in the final.

Certainly, the trophies he has won speak for him and as such, he is currently considered as one of the front-runners for the individual honor.

3) Jude Bellingham – Real Madrid/England
The English football star also had a great season with Real Madrid last term, scoring clutch goals and helping Los Blancos win the La Liga and UEFA Champions League.

Bellingham remains a major contender for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award, although his stock has dropped a bit after England were defeated by Spain in the final of the 2024 European Championship.

Despite an underwhelming showing with Brazil at the 2024 Copa America, Vinicius Jr remains in a favorable position to secure the 2024 Ballon d’Or award.
He scored 2 goals in 3 appearances at the 2024 Copa America, as Brazil were eliminated from the tournament in the quarter-finals by Uruguay – a game he didn’t feature in due to suspension.
