France Football have announced the 2024 Ballon d’Or nominees for the best men’s team manager of the year.
The event will take place on Monday, October 28, 2024, in Paris, France. The 2024 Ballon d’Or for Men Coach will be the first of its kind since it was introduced in 2023.
The France Football revealed the method of voting will continue.

Xabi Alonso (Bayer Leverkusen)
The Bayer Leverkusen manager ended the 2023-24 Bundesliga season without losing a single match. He won the German title and the DFB Pokal last season.
However, the Xabi Alonso-led team lost the UEFA Europa League against Atalanta. In the 2024-25 season, the Spanish manager has won the German Super Cup for the Bayer Leverkusen side.
Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid)
Italian Coach Carlo Ancelotti led Real Madrid to their 15th Champions League title after the Los Blancos defeated wasteful Borussia Dortmund.
In addition, he helped Real Madrid secure the La Liga title ahead of bitter Rivals, Barcelona. They also won the Spanish Super Cup.
Real Madrid started the season with another major trophy after the team defeated the Europa League reigning Champions Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup.
Luis de La Fuente (Spain national team)
La Fuente won the 2024 Euro with the Spain national team against England in the final.
The Spanish team dominated the competition, beating teams like Germany and France on their way to the final.
Gian Piero Gasperini (Atalanta)
Atalanta were the underdogs in the 2023-24 Europa League season. However, they took everybody by storm with a good performance.
Atalanta manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, won the 2023-24 Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen. The Serie A giant scored three goals in the final.
Also, he took the Atalanta team to the final of the Italian Cup, where they lost narrowly to Juventus.
In the Serie A, Gian Piero Gasperini helped Atalanta secure a fourth-place finish, automatically qualifying for the 2024-25 Champions League.
Pep Guardiola (Manchester City)
The former Barcelona manager, Guardiola, is the only Premier League manager to be nominated for the Ballon d’Or Men Coach of the Year.
He led Manchester City to a historic four Premier League titles in a row. Also, he took the team to the Champions League quarterfinals, where they got eliminated by Real Madrid.
In addition, Guardiola helped Manchester City reach the 2023-24 FA Cup, where they narrowly lost to Manchester United.
Lionel Scaloni (Argentina)
The manager won the 2024 Copa America for the Argentina national team without losing a single match. Scaloni helped the team secure the Copa America for the second time in a row.

Carlo Ancelotti is currently the favourite for the 2024 Ballon d’Or Men Coach of the Year. Last season, he won the La Liga title and the Champions League, coupled with the Spanish Super Cup against Barcelona.
He defeated Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City via penalties in the quarterfinals of the 2023-24 Champions League. Ancelotti dominated the La Liga 2023-24 season with high intensity style of play.
