AC Milan secured their first victory in the competition this season with a 3-1 win over Club Brugge.
Christian Pulisic opened the scoring for the home side in the 34th minute before Club Brugge fought back through Sabbe in the 51st minute to level the scores.
A brace by Rejinders, scored in the 61st and 71st minute, sealed victory for the home side.
Monaco 5-1 Crvena Zvezda
Monaco continued on their brilliant start with a 5-1 thumping victory to compound the woes of strugglers Crvena Zvezda.
Minanimo and Embolo opened the scoring in the 20th and 45th minutes, respectively for the home side to fire them into the lead before the break.
Nine minutes into the restart, Singo made it 3-1 for the French contingents before Minanimo scored again to bag his brace and extend the lead. Akliouche completed the rout, scoring in the stoppage-time of the game to make it 5-1.
Arsenal 1-0 Shakhtar Donetsk
It was a somewhat disappointing night for Arsenal but one enough to see the team emerge with victory.
The Gunners needed an own goal by Riznyk a minute before the half-hour to net the only goal in the game and the match-winner. The win has seen the team continue on their unbeaten start to the campaign.
Aston Villa 2-0 Bologna
Aston Villa’s fairy tale run in the 2024-24 Champions League under Unai Emery has continued. The Villains made it three wins in three matches with their third consecutive victory in the competition against Bologna.
After a barren first half, two quickfire goals, nine minutes apart, in the second half decided the game. McGinn opened the scoring for the team in the 55th minute before Jhon Duran’s 64th-minute goal.
The two goals saw the team race to a deserved 2-0 win over the Serie A giants at the Villa Park.
Girona 2-0 Slovan Bratislava
Slovan Bratislava’s nightmare run in the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League continued in Spain.
Girona secured victory over the Slovak Champions with a deserved 2-0 win. Guttierez opened the scoring in the 42nd minute before Juanpe doubled the lead 27 minutes before regulation time.
The result has extended Slovan Bratislava’s wait for their first win in the competition after heavy defeats against Manchester City and Celtic
Juventus 0-1 Stuttgart
Juventus vs Stuttgart match produced a shocking result of the night. The Serie A giants recorded their first defeat in the competition after back-to-back victories.
They were down to 10 men after Danilo was sent off in the 84th minute. Toure scored a stoppage-time winner to hand Stuttgart an unlikely victory and condemn the hosts to a shock loss.
PSG 1-1 PSV Eindhoven
PSG couldn’t scrape past Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven at Parc des Princes.
The Ligue 1 giants conceded four minutes after the half-hour through Lang’s goal. Morocco international Achraf Hakimi scored the equalizer in the 55th minute to help the team salvage a point as it ended in a 1-1 draw.
Real Madrid 5-2 Borussia Dortmund
Real Madrid were among the biggest winners in the night. In a rematch of the 2023-24 final, the defending Champions came from behind to defeat Borussia 5-2. Dortmund had gone into the lead through a quickfire first-half double by Malen and Gittens in the first half before Rudiger halved the deficit in the 61st minute.
Vinicius Jr then restored parity a minute later and Lucas Vazquez completed the comeback in the 80th minute. Vinicius Jr then netted a hat-trick, scoring two late goals to make it 5-2.
Sturm Graz 0-2 Sporting CP
Sporting CP won away from home against Sturm Graz. The visitors struck in both halves through Santos and Gyokeres to secure victory.
They have bagged two wins in their first three matches after defeating Lille and drawing PSV Eindhoven.
