Action resumed in the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League clash with teams locking horns in the competition’s matchday four clash.

It was a rollercoaster of action in all nine centers as the battle for qualification to the next round of the competition continued. Here is a breakdown of all the matchday four action as it happened:

PSV Eindhoven 4-0 Girona

Eredivisie giants PSV Eindhoven were among the biggest winners on the night. The team saw off Girona with a convincing 4-0 victory to secure all three points.
Flamingo and Tillman scored in the first half to fire the team into a 2-0 lead at the break.

Bakayoko and Krejci were also on target in the second half to seal a deserved 4-0 victory for the home side.

Slovan Bratislava 1-4 Dinamo Zagreb

Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb were also among the biggest winners. They stunned Slovan Bratislava with a 4-1 victory away.

Strelec scored just five minutes into the game to give the home side the lead but it was short-lived five minutes after. Spikic scored to level the score for the away side before Sukic completed the first-half comeback, scoring at the half-hour to make it 2-1.

Kulenovic then netted a brace in the second half, scoring in the 54th and 72nd minute to make it 4-1 for the away side.

Bologna 0-1 Monaco

French giants Monaco also secured an away victory over Bologna in Italy. The two sides settled for a barren draw in the first half.

Four minutes before regulation time, Monaco finally broke the deadlock. Kehrer’s late strike was all the visitors needed to secure all three points.

Celtic 3-1 RB Leipzig

Scottish giants Celtic ran out with a deserved 3-1 victory over RB Leipzig.

Kuhn scored a first-half brace to complete a comeback for the home side after Baumgartner had fired the Bundesliga side into the lead in the 23rd minute.

Hatate then sealed the victory for the French side, scoring in the 72nd minute to hand Celtic a 3-1 win.

In the other results, Liverpool sank Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen at Anfield. Luiz Diaz scored a hat-trick as the Reds romped to a 4-0 victory. Cody Gakpo was also on the scoresheet for the Reds.

Premier League Champions Manchester City were stunned in Portugal by Ruben Amorim’s Sporting Lisbon.

The Primeira Liga champions came from behind to score four past Man City and secure a 4-1 victory. Vitor Gyokeres scored a hat-trick in the game with two of the goals from the penalty spot.

Phil Foden scored Manchester City’s only goal as the Pep Guardiola-led side settled for one of their biggest defeat in the competition.

Another shocking result came from Santiago Bernabeu. Serie A side AC Milan stunned Real Madrid by winning 3-1 in the Spanish capital. Thiaw, Morata, and Reijnders were all on the scoresheet as the team cruised past the La Liga and European champions with a shock away victory. Vinicius Jr scored Real Madrid’s only goal of the game, converting a first-half spot-kick.

At Signal Iduna Park in Germany, a late goal by Malen saw Borussia Dortmund defeat Stum Graz 1-0. Juventus settled for a 1-1 draw away to Lille in France.
