The draw for the group stage of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will take place on October 12, 2023 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
The 24 qualified teams will be drawn into six groups of four teams.
The draw will be seeded, with the top four teams in the FIFA World Rankings being placed in Pot 1. The remaining teams will be placed in Pots 2, 3, and 4, based on their FIFA World Rankings.
The draw will be conducted as follows:
- One team from each pot will be drawn into each group, starting with Pot 1 and ending with Pot 4.
- The first team drawn from each pot will be placed in Position 1 in their respective group. The second team drawn will be placed in Position 2, and so on.

The group stage of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will take place from January 13 to 24, 2024. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage.
